Product Description

RIGIDISER is a silicate compound for treating the surface of ceramic fibre blanket, modules, boards, and vacuum formed components to give a hard outer shell in order to seal the surface and protect against erosion.

RIGIDISER binds the surface to which it is applied and leaves a glassy skin on the surface. When applied by dipping, the rigidising agent migrates to the surface as it dries and leaves an extra hard layer.

RIGIDISER is coloured light blue with a vegetable die to aid control during application. The die burns out on first heating and the coated surface returns to its original colour.

RIGIDESER is supplied ready for use in 4kg (4.4L) containers.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

RIGIDISER should be applied to clean surfaces, which are free from loose material, excessive dust, and oil. It can be applied by coating (painting, spraying, rolling), or dipping. Bonding action is achieved on air drying and may be accelerated by forced air or heating. Rubber gloves and goggles should be worn when handling. Goggles, gloves, and a respirator should be worn when spraying.

RIGIDISER will soak in when it is applied and will be dry in around 30 minutes.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Contains Sodium Silicate. Irritating to eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children.
